Wreck This Journal - Part One

I happily joined Diana's Wreck This Journal Party. Even though I'm still waiting for it to arrive in the mail, I'm super excited about it!

Read about the project here.

As you may have understood by now (I've already said it like a thousand times), Diana is one of my favourite bloggers and a huge inspiration. Ashley left a great comment the other day which says it all:

"I know everyone raves about this book, but I never really saw the point. I mean, why poke holes in a page or spill things on it purposefully? To me, it never made sense.

The way you talk about being "safe" and not going too crazy with this book and being adult about it... That's the point of it! It isn't to be super creative and create masterpieces... it's to be creative in experimentation and to break the mental boundaries we create for ourselves. I think I might go and buy this book now, thanks to you."

The author Keri Smith also wrote How To Be An Explorer Of The World and I'm doing both projects simultaneously, I might not post that much about the latest as it can get very personal (plus, I write in a weird mix of English, Norwegian & French) but I'll try to show bits and pieces of my doodles from time to time.

Some of my partners in crime:

  1. I saw the book in Urban Outfitters!! I think I'm going to have to buy it too and join in with you lovely ladies! Can't wait to see what you do with it!

  2. That is interesting! My perfectionism or orderly self is already bristling though after reading about the project. yikes.

  3. p.s. if you like vintage bags i'm doing a giveaway - you should enter!

  4. I have this journal sitting on next to my bed waiting for me to do something with it. I need to get my act together and join you lovely ladies.

  5. i can't wait to get my book. i hope it arrives SOON! :)

  6. Well now I'm gonna have to do it! I love the way you and Diana describe it...

  7. oh i saw this book at some stores before. looks so much fun!

  8. thanks for sharing this. I am going to check it out!

  9. What intriguing project!!
I found myself drawn in Diana's blog and right after, in Keri Smith's so it took me awhile to come back to say Thank You for sharing it!!
Absolutely my kind of inspiration projects!
