A Photographic Diary: Brandi

"Truth be told I know nothing about photography. Nine months ago I decided that I needed to find a hobby so for the first time in 13 years I picked up a camera with the intention of shooting something other then a snap shot of my friends and I. Some days I get lucky and capture a beautiful moment while other times I come home with crap. Either way I am in love and will always be in awe of the magic that is photography."

A self-portrait...

Oscar & Adeline

You might already know I work in a museum (and if not, now you do) and this particular museum hosts one of the two Academy Awards ever awarded to a Norwegian (wow). I'm quitting at the end of the year and one of my colleagues asked me if there's anything I'd like to do before leaving... I already knew what to ask for. (insert evil grin)

"I would looove to have my very own Academy Award Ceremony."

Sooo we met up after closing time the other day and took Oscar out to play with him. (Yes, we do call him Oscar as a real person.) As you can see, I was wearing one of my favourite dresses and got to hold a little speech. In my imaginary ceremony, George Clooney, Bill Murray, Lady Gaga and my mom were sitting at the front row and the champagne tasted rhubarb.

For those of you wondering, it is bloody heavy.
And it is real gold.

Next year I want to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Thank you.

You Have Been Loved

Sorry for the lack of posting, it's been a tough and busy week...
and all of a sudden Gabbi put a smile back upon my face.

She wrote the sweetest thing about Ada and there are no words to express how grateful I am. It felt incredible to read that someone actually feels the same way about this project as I do. And it shows one more time how thoughtful and adorable Gabbi is. If you don't know her yet, just make sure you head over to her blog, you'll fall in love.

Thank you Gabbi.

Sunshine, neither eternal nor spotless.

I got this lovely dress from Laetitia aka Mademoiselle Robot, it's just so pretty it doesn't need any accessory. Belt? Necklace? Nah. Oh and for your information, I got those shoes and my animal rings from... H&M. That easy.
