Blogging seems to be a dying art.

It started when Laura tweeted: 'Does anyone actually still blog nowadays?'
Danica replied: 'Blogging seems to be a dying art.'

I don't blog as much as I used to. I still follow many blogs but I don't comment as much as I used to. I don't tweet as much as I used to. And Instagram? Only one snapshot this month.

And then on the same day, Tatiana published this post'This past summer I read about the fact that researchers have discovered that one surprising trait of happy and content people is not to which degree they offer empathy or solace to someone dealing with something difficult but the degree to which they genuinely celebrate the goodness in the lives of others.'

There's the chronic lack of time and then the chronic lack of inspiration. But are we becoming lazy? Can't we have conversations that are longer than 140 characters? Are we becoming selfish, less likely to take the time to leave a genuine comment? Or are we just getting older and changing some of our priorities?

I don't know. What do you think?

Poppins Or Nothing

Mark Kermode is one of my favourite film critics. So I was thrilled when I found out he loved Mary Poppins as much as I do. 'I love Mary Poppins and I don't really understand anyone who doesn't.'

What about you? Is there a film for you that can decide
whether or not you can be friends with someone or not?

[Oh Hello Oslo] What The World Eats at the Nobel Peace Center

When did you last think about food? Probably not very long ago. People may come in all shapes and sizes, but we have one thing in common: we must have food to survive. But food is more than just fuel for the body. Food is identity, culture and an opportunity for social interaction.

Good shoes take you good places - by Nikki .

I've had these All Stars since grade 11. Never been washed. They've travelled to 11 different countries, seen me through 4 different boyfriends, lived with me in 6 different homes, danced me through 13 music festivals and they were the shoes I wore when I was booked into hospital to have Sophie. If shoes could be best friends, these would be mine.
